Female Impotence
Female sexual dysfunction or better known as female impotence, is a catchall term used to portray difficulty in having sexual cravings, being insufficiently aroused, enjoying sex sufficiently, or achieving an orgasm.
Some females may experience decline in sexual desire for a number of reasons including exhaustion and stress. It could be that the reason she is not enjoying sex fully is because of a pain disorder which may be an underlying problem. Females with gynecologic disorders, breast cancer may experience sexual dysfunction
One type of female impotence is parallel to male impotence and may be caused by decline blood flow to the clitoris during sexual intercourse. Psychosocial aspects such as earlier or current sexual or physical abuse or an unsolved disagreement over sexual individuality may also play a role in female sexual dysfunction.
To provide suitable actions to a woman suffering from sexual dysfunction, her doctor first has to conquer the face of separating inherent from extrinsic reasons for such dysfunction. In addition to pain throughout sex or the existence of a obvious underlying disorder, it may be tricky to differentiate between a woman’s incapability to become aroused or having an orgasm from the method or technique used by her partner to excite her.
Some females can only have an orgasm through clitoral stimulation, but gender roles and mental barriers may get in the way of a women communicate her needs to be able to achieve sexual climax.
Mental encouragement plays a major part, if a woman is displeased with her sexual spouse for some reason, this may render into decreased libido with that partner. This is called situational sexual dysfunction and the woman may experience no problems with a partner she considers more appealing.
Where an underlying reason can be identified, female impotence is treatable.
